 The Company has a long history. PT-Holding Plc is the successor of the then state-owned Periferna Tehnika (Peripheral Engineering) Company, originally established in 1969. Until 1994 the Company was a producer of computing and peripheral hardware, automation systems, consumer electronic devices, etc. In January 2000 a consortium of three private companies carried out privatization of Periferna Tehnika (Peripheral Engineering) AD. The new management started restructuring of the company – money-losing activities were shut down, the obtained assets were optimized through selling or letting them for hire, the production structure was changed. The restructuring of the Company and the existing building and land assets continued throughout the following three years. The South East Industrial Zone with an area of 350 000 sq. m. and over 100 000 sq. m. of constructed industrial premises was completely re-designed. Already in these first years of its development PT-Holding Plc set new priorities and re-directed its investment efforts into several different lines of activity – consulting assistance and support in restructuring of small and medium-sized enterprises, financial leasing, preparation of marketing initiatives, logistic activities, etc.
The South East Industrial Zone site is used by a number of companies from various industrial sectors to locate their production units and administrative offices: electronics and electric engineering, construction and mechanic engineering, food processing industry, pharmacy, leather and textile industry, books and periodicals publishing.
